Provided high level information based on extensive research on industry best practice on the integration of Apple iPad devices in to the Family Court of Australia’s (FCoA) corporate network. The paper discussed specific applications or “Apps” provided by third party vendors aimed at Apple iPads in Business.

Client: Australian Crime Commission
Project Title: Secure Network Options Analysis paper

The Australian crime Commission (ACC) is planning to implement a secure network rated to Secret that will leverage the AG’s operated Australian Secret Network (ASN) to provide a desktop environment, and file and print services.

An investigation of options for providing cost effective secure network connectivity from ACC sites back in to the ASN has been undertaken. The investigation has taken into consideration:

  • Compliance with the requirements of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Manual (PSM).
  • Additional requirements specific to the adoption of the ASN.
  • Environmental constraints specific to the ACC and the sites in which the system is to be installed.
